Summary:

The Quality Program Coordinator, Lead will evaluate quality regulations and agreements to identify risks and opportunities. The lead will work with other team members on the quality team and across member facilities to ensure top decile performance is achieved and financial incentives are maximized. The lead will provide mitigation solutions for identified risks. They will also lead teams in process improvement. Workplans will be developed for identified opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates current and proposed quality regulations and agreements to ensure content aligns with national recommendations, evidence-base practices, and organizational goals.
  • Develop and implement mitigation strategies for risks associated with new and existing quality programs. Monitor and reassess to ensure mitigation strategies were effectively implemented and successful.
  • Ensures internal and external customers are appropriately collecting and documenting data elements. Identifies areas of opportunity and provides feedback to customers in a timely manner.
  • Leads educational and training sessions on regulatory/quality programs and documentation requirements.
  • Utilizes performance improvement tools and methodologies to tracks, analyze, conduct a current state and root cause analysis, and develop an executable plan to improve performance.
  • Executes new innovative strategies that maximize compliance rates for members and assure optimal performance standards.
  • Oversees the planning and implementation of quality and regulatory work groups. This includes developing work group plans, identifying resources, leading work group meetings, providing feedback, advice, and work group updates, coordinating work group activities, managing deadlines, and reporting out to manager.
  • Performs other duties as delegated by management for which the employee is qualified to perform.
  • Demonstrates self-motivation with an ability to work independently, prioritize needs, pay attention to detail, organize complex processes, think creatively, and interact in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively with members, physicians, other medical disciplines, and management staff.
  • Provides coverage for co-workers and manager on an as needed basis.

Competencies and Skills

  • 7 years of relative experience required. • 7 years’ experience of Ambulatory/Population Health quality knowledge OR 7 years’ experience of Hospital Quality knowledge • 5 years’ experience of clinical process and quality improvement

Education

  • Required Bachelor's DegreeEight years of experience (additional to the position's minimum experience requirements) will be considered in lieu of degree.
