Senior Physician Executive - Psychiatry in Maine

Northern Light Acadia Hospital is seeking a board-certified psychiatrist to become the next Senior Physician Executive and lead our efforts in providing high quality, transformative behavioral healthcare to the beautiful state of Maine. Candidates should possess a minimum of five years in clinical practice as well as a minimum of five years in progressive leadership roles. Position is split into 50% clinical and 50% administrative / leadership duties.

The Senior Physician Executive will :

• Continue to build a culture that exemplifies the highest safety standards for patients, clinicians, and staff
• Lead clinical initiatives aimed at improving patient services and quality / safety outcomes as well as provider engagement, alignment, and satisfaction
• Participate in Northern Light Health system-wide committees and various corporate initiatives
• Demonstrate a strong business acumen with clinical expertise while impacting the organization’s efficiency and utilization management efforts
• Adopt and implement enabling technologies and innovative programs / processes for high-risk patient populations
