Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Lead Sonographer and Chief Technologist the incumbent will produce two dimensional ultrasonic images of internal organs and operate equipment capable of generating information for diagnostic purposes on prenatal through geriatric patients. The incumbent will give indirect supervision to all Level I Sonographers. The incumbent is responsible for troubleshooting all equipment within the Ultrasound Department. The incumbent is expected to be a resource for students and Level I Sonographers. Incumbent participates in all QA programs within the department. Must provide instruction to students. The incumbent performs duties and tasks in accordance with performance standards established for the job. The incumbent may have access to highly confidential patient, employee and/or proprietary information, and must handle and protect the information in accordance with hospital and system policies, HIPAA requirements and the highest level of ethical standards. The incumbent is responsible for reporting all security events, potential events, or other security risks to the organization. The incumbent is responsible for participation in and completion of all patient safety initiatives appropriate to the position, and conducts all job responsibilities according to the Mission and Values of Hospital.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasonography with progressive experience and technical skills in Ultrasonography
- License/Certifications: Current/Active RDMS required. Registered in at least one specialty areas of Ultrasonography.
