Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. Duties
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and preventive measures.
- Manage infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Utilize dental software such as Dentrix for scheduling appointments and managing patient information.
- Support front office duties when necessary, including answering phones and managing medical records.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or relevant role in a dental setting.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures, particularly in areas such as prosthodontics and general dentistry.
- Proficiency in medical imaging techniques.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices within the dental field.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Certification in CPR or First Aid is preferred.
