Description
JOB SUMMARY :
Responsible for delivery, pick-up and distribution of medication, supplies / products, and confidential information.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Pick up and deliver supplies and materials.
Document mileage and time
Establish and maintain effective working relationships in order to effectively perform job duties.
Maintain professional demeanor and confidentiality of medical information.
Attend pertinent in- services to effectively perform job duties.
Perform such related duties not listed herein but deemed in the best interest of Northern Maine Medical Center Pharmacy.
Maintain strict confidentiality.
Work as a member of the pharmacy team to help reinforce a culture of safety in the department and organization wide.
Requirements
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE :
Ability to read, write, and follow simple written and oral instructions. Must have a valid Maine driver's license and 1 years' experience driving a vehicle.
WORKER TRAITS :
Ability to prioritize responsibilities.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Requires adherence to all policies and procedures, including standards for safety, attendance, punctuality and personal appearance.
Must ne able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers and peers.
Must be flexible since employee may have various nonstandard stops.
Motor coordination, manual dexterity, and eye-hand-foot- coordination are necessary when driving and moving and handling materials when loading and unloading.
Perception is necessary for driving. Correctable to 20 / 20, full range of vision and absence of medical or legal restrictions or impairments prohibiting the holding of a valid driver's license. Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources.
Works inside and outside, exposed to traffic and weather hazards.
Hearing must be adequate to perform job duties in person and over the telephone.
Must be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone.
Requires periods of sitting while driving.
Requires frequent lifting and carrying items weighing up to 45 pounds unassisted.
Requires frequent bending, reaching, repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting, pushing, and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular work shift.
