Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, a solid understanding of medical terminology, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and documenting medical histories.
  • Manage patient records and ensure accurate data entry into electronic health systems.
  • Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Must be adaptable and willing to cross-train in various office tasks, including administrative duties and scheduling, to support the overall efficiency and operations of the office as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinical environment to promote safety and efficiency.
  • Educate patients on treatment plans and post operative care.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and physiology is essential.
  • Familiarity with outpatient care practices and geriatric patient needs is advantageous.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and empathy.
  • Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
