Northern Management has 100 market-rate apartments and is seeking a highly skilled and dependable professional to ensure our properties are safe, functional, and well-maintained.
Job Summary:
As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a key role in providing exceptional living experiences for our residents. Your expertise in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general maintenance will directly impact the quality and reputation of our apartments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and prioritize routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.
- Conduct regular inspections of apartments, common areas, and property grounds.
- Address and resolve resident maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
- Complete apartment turnovers efficiently, including painting, cleaning, and minor repairs.
- Execute preventative maintenance programs to maximize the lifespan of building systems and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and local building codes.
- Assist in managing inventory and ordering necessary maintenance supplies.
- Be available for on-call emergency maintenance on a rotating schedule.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in residential property management or multifamily housing.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical troubleshooting, plumbing repairs, and general handyman skills.
- Excellent organizational, troubleshooting, and time-management skills.
- Outstanding communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent (vocational/technical training is a plus).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
