Description
Northern Manufacturing, a worldwide leader in stainless steel fabrication, is seeking a qualified Laser Operator to join our team on second shift. Second Shift hours are 3:30pm to 1:00am for a 45-hour workweek.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Set-up, program, and operate CNC flat and tube lasers to cut and fabricate parts.
· Perform routine preventative maintenance and any trouble shooting required.
· Monitor machine performance.
· Inspect parts for inaccuracies or complications and discuss any issues with supervisor.
· Responsible for handling material at workstation and loading and unloading material from the machine.
· Maintain a solid understanding of different material types and thicknesses.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
· Assist with other tasks throughout the shop including break out, operating a forklift, etc.
Requirements
· High School diploma or equivalent
· One year experience as a CNC operator, or a high mechanical aptitude preferred
· Basic math and measurement comprehension
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints
· Strong trouble-shooting skills
· Ability to work in an ever-changing, fast paced work environment
· Strong attention to detail and high-quality standards
