Responsibilities:
- Provide primary care services to adult patients.
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and assessments.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
- Prescribe medications and treatments.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health record system eClinicalWorks.
- Adhere to established standards of care, including infection control protocols and sterile processing procedures.
- Participate in utilization management activities to ensure appropriate use of healthcare resources.
Requirements:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New York.
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the appropriate specialty area.
- Prior experience in primary care or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practice guidelines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical judgments.
