As a Housekeeper / Laundry Attendant with Northern Michigan Escapes, you play a pivotal role in assisting investment property owners and homeowners in preserving and enhancing the value of their investments. This position involves assisting with the Boyne Laundromat facility's day-to-day operations and cleaning rental properties in the Boyne City, Charlevoix, and Harbor Springs areas. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform various linen management tasks, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, stacking, bagging, and transporting linens to appropriate rental properties.
- Ensure cleanliness of the Laundromat facility, including equipment, linen storage areas, and common areas such as the bathroom, waiting area, and entrance.
- Maintain a safe environment by diligently managing all surfaces within the laundromat and outside the entrances to ensure they are free from hazards such as ice, excessive dirt, and debris.
- Lift and transport cleaning supplies and linens to and from properties.
- Demonstrate proficiency with the software program used for laundry equipment and assist customers with implementation and usage.
- Thoroughly and efficiently clean rental properties for incoming guests and owner stays.
- Inspect properties for damages and manage items left behind after guest departure during checkout cleaning.
- Provide consistent documentation and communication while coordinating housekeeping needs with the housekeeping manager, housekeeping assistant manager, and/or lead housekeeper.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Preferred Experience:
- Minimum 1-2 years of housekeeping experience.
- Familiarity with an iPad is highly valued.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be in good physical condition with overall strength and flexibility to perform various tasks, including walking, bending, standing, sitting, lifting up to 50 pounds independently or with assistance, reaching, hearing, and seeing.
- Functional hand and finger dexterity is required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to drive a vehicle.
- Candidates must be free of physical limitations; reasonable accommodations may be provided in accordance with applicable laws.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Availability for flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and weekdays.
- Ability to work collaboratively and efficiently within a team and independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong multitasking ability with accuracy, efficiency, attention to detail, and the capacity to follow directions thoroughly.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with a high attention to detail.
- Competence with laundry equipment software program (training provided).
- Candidates must demonstrate effective communication skills when interacting with teammates, guests, and associates.
SCHEDULE:
As a full-time position, this position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, including weekdays, weekends, and occasional evenings, with variations based on occupancy and season. As a part-time position requires a commitment of working weekdays and weekends, with variations based on occupancy and season. This position is based at our Boyne City, MI., location and requires in-person attendance. Remote work arrangements are not available for this role.
