Job description:
This position will be a full time position opening immediately. The primary responsibilities of the ATC will be split clinical and outreach position. These responsibilities will include, after school training room duties, event coverage for all varsity sports, injury prevention and sports enhancement duties for various age groups. This position will also involve clinical responsibilities, such as rehabilitation for orthopedic conditions of all age groups under supervision of a physical therapist and training and instruction for various wellness programs.
This position is a 40 hour position that will include clinical hours, high school responsibilities and game coverage. This position does require evening and weekend responsibilities at varied times.
This position is hourly wage 20-30$/hr.
Requirements for hiring:
- NATA BOC certified
- BS degree in sports medicine/athletic training
- Clinical experience
- High School training room and event coverage experience
- Dependability for transportation
Duties and responsibilities:
Clinical
- Promote excellent and safe patient care under supervision of a physical therapist
- Communicate with all staff in the clinic regarding patient care
- Proficient use of all clinical modalities
- Implement and supervise aquatic rehabilitation
- Assist and instruct various wellness programs
High School Outreach:
- Athlete care at the high school
- Perform pre/post game care
- Identify and evaluate injuries and conditions of athletes
- Communicate with athlete, coach, parent, AD and physician regarding injury, recommendations, return to play, and referral process
- Offer rehabilitation and reconditioning of athletes
- Provide coverage of all varsity athletic events; and various community events; may include travel time on evenings and weekends
- Maintain paperwork, injury documentation, and proper tracking of athletic injuries
- Identify and implement injury prevention/sports enhancement programs as needed
