SUMMARY
Under general supervision, the Agency Sales and Relations Specialist manages and develops a diverse sales territory of Independent Agencies. Success in this role involves optimizing growth potential, meeting or exceeding annual growth and profit targets, utilizing consultative sales tools, gathering competitor intelligence, and collaborating with team members on product, pricing, and agency management decisions. The Specialist thrives in a collaborative environment. The Agency Sales and Relations Specialist oversees the book roll process, which includes quoting and collaborating with the agency and sales team. This responsibility accounts for 50% of the role. The remaining 50% involve delivering prompt and efficient customer service to agency partners, addressing production and system issues within our INOW system. Additionally, this individual provides on-demand systems training to agents to ensure exceptional agent experience.
Essential Duties:
· Agency Support: Manage Independent Agency assignments, applying diagnostics and segmentation. Identify cross-selling opportunities for Northern Neck products and share information with Territory Sales Managers and agents. Facilitate workshops via online seminars as needed.
· Influencing Sales: Develop profitable agency assignments by encouraging agents to quote and sell Northern Neck products. Execute sales strategies to increase Northern Neck’s market share within assigned agencies. Articulate a mutually beneficial sales process, identify solutions to agency needs, and provide consistent follow-through with agents, peers, and team members. Ensure a fully trained agency staff in products, quoting automation, and the INOW system.
· Agency Diagnostics: Create strategic plans for agency assignments to identify opportunities and challenges, developing strategies and tactics accordingly. Implement best practices for agency operations, follow up on plans, and hold owners accountable for agreed actions. Diagnose agencies’ interests and growth potential, motivating agents to succeed. Initiate marketing strategies to attract and retain new business. Recommend business solutions and programs to meet objectives. Maintain thorough knowledge of Northern Neck’s computer systems and assist agencies as needed. Understand Northern neck’s focus and appetites, seize cross-selling opportunities, and stay current on product and pricing changes. Articulate company positions and seek business with appropriate agencies to meet objectives.
· Advising: Demonstrate effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Drive results through regular contact with agency assignments and effective communication backed by diagnostics and mutually agreed plans. Assume personal responsibility for achieving outcomes, collaborating with all stakeholders. Be dependable/responsible, able to communicate and explain demanding situations and achieve buy-in.
· Troubleshooting: Work with other departments to resolve agent inquiries, including contacting other departments and transferring agents to resolve issues.
· Task Assistance: Assist agents with tasks in the INOW system.
· Other duties: Perform other duties as assigned. Responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones assigned at any time with or without notice.
Participate in catastrophic events.
· Book Roll Management: Manage all book rolls, including kick-off meetings, quarterly meetings with other departments, sales, and the agency.Quote all policies and detail outcomes in a spreadsheet emailed to the agency and sales monthly. Report monthly the results to leadership.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
· Travel within assigned territory to meet with agencies, attend off-site meetings, conferences, and seminars.
· Regular travel, including some overnight stays.
· Ability to sit, talk, see, and hear and to be able to operate an automobile, telephone, and computer keypad.
