Role Description
The purpose of the Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)/Perinatal Behavioral Health Therapist is to provide sound behavioral health treatment to patients struggling with co-occurring mental health, pregnancy and postpartum, and substance use at Northern Nevada HOPES.
The BH therapist promotes behavioral and mental health as an important dimension of overall wellness by providing high-quality individual, group, family or couples therapy to HOPES patients. Will work with Perinatal team to provide curriculum in the form of classes with providers and other members of MAT team. The MAT/Perinatal Therapist conducts substance use evaluations, biopsychosocial assessments, diagnosis and treatment planning, and consults with other team members as part of a cohesive multidisciplinary team, in alignment with a harm-reduction approach.

Qualifications
- Completion of a Masters level program and licensure (eligibility) in the State of Nevada as a LCSW or LFMT required.
- Interested in working with pregnant people with co-occurring substance use.
- Prior experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders required.
- Therapeutic experience within the clinical setting required.
- Valid BLS required prior to hire, per HRSA compliance.
