What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Health Provider, Medication Assisted Treatment position at Northern Nevada HOPES?
The purpose of the MAT Behavioral Health Therapist is to provide sound behavioral health treatment to patients struggling with co-occurring mental health and substance use at Northern Nevada HOPES.
The Medication Assisted Treatment Therapist promotes behavioral and mental health as an important dimension of overall wellness by providing high-quality individual, group, family or couples therapy to HOPES patients. The MAT Therapist conducts substance use evaluations, biopsychosocial assessments, diagnosis and treatment planning, and consults with other team members as part of a cohesive multidisciplinary team, in alignment with a harm-reduction approach.
