What are the responsibilities and job description for the Test Proctor position at Northern Nevada Literacy Council?
Job Summary:
The Proctors at Northern Nevada Literacy Council are a valuable and significant part of the Adult Basic Education and ELL programs offered by the organization. Proctors, as directed by the Database Coordinator, will perform all proctoring, for HiSET, CASAS assessments, and Pearson Vue testing. Assessments take place prior to ABE and ELA orientations. Additional duties may be assigned by the Database Coordinator, Executive Director or Director of Operations, as needed. Proctors may not perform duties along with students, other than proctoring tests and assessments.
Proctor Responsibilities:
· Create a testing environment that does not compromise the integrity and validity of all exams being administered.
· Administer the CASAS exams upholding all testing procedures.
· Administer the HiSET exams upholding all testing procedures.
· Administer Person Vue testing upholding all testing procedures.
· Maintain a quiet and secure atmosphere for testing.
· Maintain records and test files securely returning them to the appropriate staff for recording results.
· Secure all testing materials at all times.
· Work with students who have needs requiring special accommodations. Work independently and responsibly in the absence of supervision.
· Attend training as required.
· Perform any additional non-student services tasks as assigned.
CASAS Assessments:
· Proctor all ABE/ASE and ELA orientation assessment exams.
· Proctor all 40 and 50 hour assessments.
HiSET Tests:
· Proctor all HiSET - Paper and Computer Based Tests.
· Proctor all Pearson Vue Tests.
*All proctors must complete and keep current all required trainings and forward completion certificate to the Director of Operations.
