Responsibilities

Northwest Specialty Hospital, an extension of Northern Nevada Medical Center, brings expanded services to a new building located at 6223 Sharlands Ave. in Northwest Reno. The facility will offer acute rehabilitation and adult behavioral health services.

Our acute rehabilitation services include occupational, speech, and physical therapy for adults recovering from stroke, injury, or another disabling condition. We offer advanced treatment for a wide range of conditions including stroke, brain injury, amputation, neurological disorders, major multiple traumas and spinal cord and back injuries. All patients will experience private rooms, have access to a newly renovated therapy gym, and personalized care from our qualified staff.

This Housekeeping opportunity is part time, offers full benefits and a convenient evening shift, Sun & Mon 10am-6:30pm schedule. This position is for our NEW REHAB HOSPITAL located in Northwests Reno.  We are looking for a dynamic housekeeper to clean all areas of the hospital according to policies and procedures.    Participates in performance improvement activities.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Performs routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators and stairways in a clean, neat and sanitary manner.
• Utilizes the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
• Transports trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal area.
• Follows all infection control practices including hand hygiene techniques, standard precautions and isolation precautions.

Qualifications

One to three (1-3) months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Previous hospital experience preferred but not required.
