RESTAUTANT SHIFT LEADER JOB DESCRIPTION
- Full time position
- Reports to Restaurant Manager
- Leads shift team
- Responsible for shift operational excellence
- Maintains correct delivery of Steak ‘n Shake procedures and policies
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum one-year restaurant experience
- Able to work weekends and different shifts
- Passionate about customer service and restaurant cleanliness
- Ability to learn, become proficient and certified in all positions of the front and back of the house
- Ability to read, write, perform mathematical calculations and analyze data
- Ability to lift 20-30lbs occasionally
- Effectively interact with Guests to ensure we exceed their expectations with the highest quality food and great service
- Motivate all Associates to deliver great hospitality toward all guests and other associates
- Assigns daily and detailed side work to each associate and checks completion before allowing associates to leave.
- Prepares food and delivers service as defined by Steak ‘n Shake procedures.
- Coaches associates on proper food preparation and service delivery as defined by Steak ‘n Shake procedures.
- Protects Great Basin SNS assets by ensuring safety procedures:
- Back door is locked
- Safe is locked
- Exterior lighting is working
- Cash procedures are followed
- Communicates to management team shift associate performance, training needs and associate replacements as needed.
- Assigns detail cleaning tasks and follows up to ensure completion.
- Hourly wage DOE
- One (1) weeks’ vacation
