What are the responsibilities and job description for the Apple Packer position at Northern Orchard Co., Inc.?
Grading and sorting whole apples into 40lb bushel boxes for wholesale. Candidates will be taught the grading standards for apples, including sizing, presentation, and proper handling and will be expected to learn to identify and sort defects to industry standard. Candidates will be expected to meet a production minimum of 50 boxes per day. Must be able to lift 40lbs comfortably, work in a facility with moving parts, and be comfortable standing throughout the shift.
Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm

Candidates must: -Be able to lift 40lbs
-Meet minimum performance requirements
-Be able to stand for the duration of the shift
-Have reliable transportation
-Be timely
-Be self motivated
-Be able to identify small defects on fruit surface for appropriate grading
-Be willing to work in a team environment
-Accept and show growth in response to constructive criticism
-Adhere to food safety requirements
-Contribute to a clean, sanitary, and food safe facility
