Front facing cashier to maintain day-to-day activities at farmstand for a weekend shift. Activities include but are not limited to:
-Attentive and friendly customer interaction
-Running a cash register and credit card reader
-Washing, processing, sorting, bundling, bagging produce
-Baking pies
-Answering the phone
-Watering plants
-Cleaning and sanitizing work space, tools, and retail environment
-Stocking shelves
-Making signs
This is a small, family run open air farm stand business seeking candidates who can reliably work weekends. We would ideally like a candidate working 40 hours per week (4-5 days per week), but will accept part time candidates. Candidates must be clean, communicative, responsible, and reliable. Able to multitask while maintaining a clean and sanitary workspace and a high standard of customer care. Must be able bodied and able to lift 50lbs and be comfortable with all weather/outdoor work. Knowledge of annual and perennial plants & care, gardening, fresh fruits and vegetables, cooking, beekeeping, hobby farming and gardening etc. are very valuable. Wage negotiable based on experience. Employee discount, free produce when in excess.
This position will begin in May and continue until the end of December. Alternative, full time work is available for interested candidates during the off season.
