ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Insure our response to the customer was/is accomplished with a strong sense of urgency, accuracy, timeliness and enthusiasm in order to exceed our customer expectations.
- Responsible for the daily operation of the Customer Service Department. Provides guidance, implements change, resolve challenges, research & orders equipment, stresses safety, offers assistance and maintains a high degree of moral within the department.
- Responsible for the daily operation of the Shipping Department. Provides guidance, implements change, resolve challenges, research & orders equipment, stresses safety, offers assistance, knowledge of DOT regulations and maintains a high degree of moral within the department.
- Provides pricing assistance, reviews orders for overall accuracy prior to shipment, and conducts follow-up calls with customers to assure overall satisfaction.
- Maintain industry pricing knowledge to ensure freight contract is successfully negotiated yearly.
- Assure appropriate levels of staffing to prevent burnout, stress and/or undo safety concerns.
- Direct staffing to assists Inventory Control Manager with physical inventory audits as needed.
- Provides regular feedback to VP of Sales regarding department issues and concerns. (Team performance, challenges, staffing, compensation, labor, equipment, contracts, etc.)
- Conducts meaningful performance reviews that provide subordinates with an understanding of their level of performance, strengths and weaknesses, and an insight into future goals and opportunities.
- Maintains standards of good housekeeping in all work areas and supervises safety and accident program within the department. Enforces safety policies and the use of required safety equipment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Degree in Sales & Marketing / Degree in Transportation Logistics and/or related fields.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
At least 3 years of recent related sales and/or customer service experience, which includes the following skills and abilities:
Strong working knowledge of customer service, manufacturing, transportation, shipping and sales.
