What are the responsibilities and job description for the Promotions Specialist position at Northern Quest Resort & Casino?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Assists the Players’ Club Manager to develop advertising and promotions strategies for upcoming special events and promotions.
· Conceptualizes, plans and coordinates special events and promotions.
· Conducts research and analysis to effectively plan special event and promotions.
· Acts as main contact/liaison between casino and all vendors and suppliers needed for special events and promotions, including but not limited to decorations, set up, prize vendors and other event specific needs.
· Provides internal communication materials for events and promotions while assisting in determining and communicating various departmental roles.
· Coordinates details for the development of on-site implementation plan for special events and promotions. Which includes set-up and break down of all equipment and props.
· Coordinates all special events and promotions requirements with other departments including but not limited to: Security, Food & Beverage and Facilities.
· Works within house design to provide in-house advertising support including posters, banners, signage and fliers for special events and promotions.
· Coordinates radio promotions with radio stations for special events and promotions.
· In conjunction with Players’ Club Manager is responsible for overseeing the communication of information regarding special events and promotions throughout the casino.
· Acts as Loyalty Marketing representative in working with other departments to establish better communications related to special events and promotions.
· Uses the promotional kiosk software to design, plan, and implement Kiosk Promotions
· Uses the mobile application software to design, plan, and implement Northern Quest Mobile Application Promotions
· Leverages social media to engage Northern Quest Guests Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular good attendance record.
· Ensure control/protection of company assets.
· Ensures compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians- State of Washington Gaming Compact, Internal Controls, NIGC Regulations and Northern Quest Policies and Procedures.
· Available and willing to work any changes in hours deemed necessary for Business Levels.
· Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular good attendance record.
· May be required to be a panelist for the Internal Review Hearings.

· May be required to assist with the distribution and execution of the casino continuity program.
Additional Functions

Qualifications
· Bachelors' degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field and three years directly related experience in special events, promotions, marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Creativity, excellent verbal, writing and editing skills.
· Ability to maintain effective working relationships with department head and team members.
· Knowledge of a 24-hour, 7 day a week operation.
· Skill in solving practical problems and dealing with situations where only limited standardization exists.
· Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
· Skill in identifying and resolving administrative problems under pressure conditions.
· Demonstrated ability to be proactive and remain positive in a multi-tasking, high demand position.
· Flexible with scheduling, as promotional and special events demand.
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations
· Ability to obtain and maintain a WA State Gaming License.
· Ability to obtain and maintain a Tribal Gaming License.
· Ability to obtain and maintain a Class III Certification.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality for internal & external guest information.
· Ability to pass Title 31 testing.
· Valid Driver’s License.
· Must be willing to work nights, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours.
