This position works at NRCIL’s Daytime Warming Center in Lowville. This position plans and executes daily programming to provide supports and services to 1) provide a safe, warm space for unhoused people 2) assists participants to create goals to increase stability in life domains.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
· Opens and closes the Daytime Warming Center
· Assists guests as they arrive and completes a Points North Housing Council Coordinated Entry form for each guest.
· Plans and executes activities that lead to stability in the life of the participants including independent living skills development, information and referral, education and assistance applying for public benefits.
· Assists program participants to link to resources in times of crisis.
· Maintains adequate and appropriately written progress notes in the case file according to agency guidelines.
· Maintains the warming center in a clean and orderly fashion.
· Encourages participation in guest’s own housing support plan.
· Participates in the oversight of the maintenance of the warming center.
· Follows agency policies and procedures in all program areas.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
