REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy
- Licensed by the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy – maintain active and in good standing throughout employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy
- BLS and ACLS certification is strongly encouraged
- Completion of ASHP-accredited residency program related to acute-care
Under direction of the Director of Pharmacy, is responsible for the quality and accuracy of the medications dispensed. Ensure adherence to regulations, record keeping, and maintenance of a safe employee environment. Ability to answer questions relative to drug usage from physicians, nurses, patients, or other health care practitioners. Calculate special medication dosages as requested. Ability to take calls and work long or irregular hours to meet patient care needs. Able to plan and deliver pharmaceutical care. Ability to enter orders and maintains and reviews patient medication regimens in pharmacy computer system. Attendance at CODE BLUE, CODE STROKE, and Rapid Responses to a patient room.
