Position: Volunteer Competitive Soccer Coach
Organization: Northern Soccer Club
Commitment: Seasonal (Fall, Spring) with 2-3 practices per week and weekend games, winter 1 game on each weekend
Position Overview:
Northern Soccer Club is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Volunteer Competitive Soccer Coaches to lead and develop youth soccer players in our competitive programs. Coaches will be responsible for creating a positive and challenging environment where players can develop technical skills, tactical understanding, and a love for the game.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate training sessions aligned with the club’s philosophy and developmental objectives.
- Coach and manage competitive teams during practices, games, and tournaments.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that encourages sportsmanship and player growth.
- Provide constructive feedback to players and communicate effectively with parents.
- Collaborate with other coaches and club leadership to ensure consistency across the program.
- Attend coach development meetings, club events, and mandatory training sessions.
Qualifications:
- Previous soccer coaching experience (competitive level preferred).
- Strong understanding of soccer tactics, techniques, and player development.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work with players of varying skill levels and backgrounds.
- Coaching certification (e.g., USSF D Level Coaching License or equivalent licensing) is required
- Must pass a background check and complete required safety training.
