Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape maintenance, with the ability to work effectively in various outdoor environments. This role involves using, zero turn mowers, hand tools, and power tools to execute landscaping projects on commercial solar farms, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standards and with the highest degree of safety.
Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing and trimming across solar sites in Upstate NY (Syracuse, NY/Cortland, NY/Buffalo, NY)
- Be willing to travel to solar sites in Upstate NY on designated weeks as dictated by season schedule (3 mowing events per season; 40-50 days off between mowing events)
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various landscaping projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and tools, maintaining them in good working condition.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Must wear PPE at all times and agree to the Safety Policies outlined in the company guidelines
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Landscape Technician or similar role in landscaping or construction.
- Proficiency in using zero turn mowers, hand tools, power tools, and other equipment relevant to landscaping tasks.
- Familiarity with reading schematics and blueprints related to landscape design.
- Experience working in commercial landscaping a plus
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks as required.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- Weekends as needed

- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
