We are seeking a versatile and proactive individual from Fairbanks or North Pole to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support in the office (and from home), while also assisting with various errands and tasks (locally in Fairbanks and North Pole) as needed. This role requires someone who is organized, resourceful, and able to multitask effectively. Demonstrated bookkeeping experience is a huge plus and will be compensated accordingly
We anticipate needing assistance from April 2024 - September 2024 (so great opportunity for someone seeking additional summer hours on a somewhat flexible schedule); however, there is ample opportunity for significant growth in this role if desired (and you have the appropriate skillset) - as a small, growth-oriented company, we all wear multiple hats on any given day and are looking to continue building our employee base of like-acting staff members.
***Pay rate is listed for general administrative assistance; however, this is negotiable depending on your level of experience.
Job Roles:
- Provide general administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office and company systems
- Develop and maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical
- Develop and implement office policies and procedures to improve workflow and streamline processes
- Run errands outside the office, including but not limited to, picking up supplies, making deliveries, dropping off supplies at site locations, handling mail
- Serve as a point of contact between management and staff, relaying information and facilitating communication
- Perform data entry tasks and update databases as needed - including scanning, organizing, and maintaining company receipts
- Coordinate project-based work, ensuring deadlines are met
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant or relevant role; alternatively, you have professional hustle, are well-organized and communicative, and eager to learn
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Proficiency in Google Suite
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree or current enrollment preferred
