Compensation: Competitive hourly wage – based on experience
Employment Type: Contract / Full-Time
WANTED: Experienced Drill Operator for projects throughout Northern Canada/Alaska. We work 12 hour shifts, 7 days a week, with flexible time off (depending on length of contract). The work is often remote. The ideal candidate will have experience operating TSi150c and LS600 sonic rigs. A background in environmental, geotechnical, and / or exploration drilling is considered a huge asset for this role.
Job Description: Operate and maintain drill rig. Setup and manage projects. Catalogue and process core samples. Daily inspections and reporting of equipment condition. Assistance with mobilization between job sites. Managing and overseeing maintenance of equipment. Maintain safe work habits.
Job Requirements:
-3 years experience operating similar equipment
-Mechanical/Welding experience is a plus
-CDL or Class 1 driver’s license preferred.
-Due to demanding physical job requirements, applicant must be physically fit and willing to work in all weather conditions
-Must be reliable and consistently show a willingness to work throughout the season
-Must be prepared to live and work in a remote camp environment (room and board are provided, satellite internet and communication is available)
-Background checks and drug tests required
