We're seeking a full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician at our program campus located near Fort Snelling and the MSP Airport.
Responsibilities include :
- Administering facilities maintenance and security services
- Project management for maintenance projects, and maintains project work order system for timely completion of projects across two buildings and related grounds
- Ensure that all utility systems are fully operational and inspected in accordance with preventive maintenance schedules
- Prepare cost estimates for building renovations or space allocations and routinely interface with vendors
- Inspects completed work for conformance to specifications
- Perform light constructions and general handy-person type repairs
- Creates and tracks budgets related to maintenance, equipment and utilities
- Receives shipments
Solid management, written and verbal communication, and problem solving skills are required. Strong organizational skills are essential to success. Must be able to complete required paperwork and keep accurate records. Knowledge of Scouting programs is helpful though not required.
The work schedule for this position is 5-8 hour shifts during business hours. Must be able to work some early mornings, evenings and weekends as demanded by work.

This full time position is budgeted for 30 hours / week. The starting salary range is $20 to $25 per hour, based on qualifications; annual increases are based on performance.
Education : High school diploma or equivalent.
Certifications : Must have a boiler license or ability to obtain a license.

Physical requirements : repeated physical labor and occasional lifting up to 100 pounds; employees are expected to work with others to safely lift heavy items. Must be able to drive and maintain a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and motor vehicle insurance at minimum levels of $100K / $300K / $100K.
