Camp Tomahawk seeks Overnight Camp Staff!
Are you looking for a summer job working with youth in our community? Tomahawk Scout Camp is seeking an enthusiastic individual to work at our community overnight camp. You will have the opportunity to supervise activities such as swimming, boating, crafts, and more! Meals and Housing for the summer provided.
There are multiple weeks of camp programs operating from June-August, we are seeking staff that can commit to working the entire season. Required In Person training starting on June 4th, 2025.
The job may be tailored as an internship if needed; it is your responsibility to determine if academic credit is available within your academic department and degree program.
Average wage is $4500-5000 for the season based on previous experience . Benefits include training in several program areas, personal leadership development, use of program equipment, housing, meals, free parking, great co-workers, and the satisfaction of making a difference in the lives of youth. Northern Star Scouting also offers a Sick and Safe Time program for all part-time employees. College aged staff may receive up to a $1500 scholarship for the completion of a full summer season.
Qualifications :
- Must be age 18 or older
- Strong communication skills
- Experience working directly with youth in the classroom, outdoor recreation sites, summer sites, summer youth camp, or other youth programs preferred
- Experience working with diverse populations between ages of 10 - 18 is desired
- Experience in Scouting NOT required
