Northern Tier High Adventure Base of Ely, MN and Atikokan, ON Canada is seeking Seasonal Summer Commissary Staff members who are passionate about youth character development, logistics, and nutrition.

About Northern Tier High Adventure Base/Boy Scouts of America
We are a national high adventure base for the Boy Scouts of America, specializing in wilderness canoe treks in the Boundary Waters (Minnesota) and Canada as well as winter camping treks.
In the summer, Scouts from our three wilderness canoe bases explore millions of acres of pristine lakes, meandering rivers, dense forests, and wetlands in Northern Minnesota, Northwest Ontario, and Northeast Manitoba.
Our guiding values are the Scout Oath and Law, and we provide life-changing experiences tailored specifically for Scout units.
A Day in the Life of a Summer Commissary Staff Member
As a Summer Commissary Staff member, you will play a key role in ensuring the success of Northern Tier.
You will work in a professional food handling setting, helping to provide nutritious and delicious trail food for thousands of campers throughout the summer.
Your days will be filled with valuable experiences managing inventory, working with staff, and ensuring that nutrition requirements are met.
All while building a foundation for a rewarding career.
Qualifications for a Summer Commissary Staff Member
- Age 18 or older
- Available for the summer from late May to August
- Possess a passion for accuracy/thoroughness and maintaining a safe work environment
- Ability to lift heavy objects (50 lbs or more)
