Digital Media Specialist Job Description
This is a seasonal role that requires a highly skilled Digital Media Specialist to document and share the experiences of our participants through high-quality photographs and videos.
About the Seasonal Role
This is a 3-month position that works throughout the summer, typically 6 days on and having one day off per week. The role involves spending time in the wilderness capturing stunning visuals and engaging content, as well as working from base camp to manage and distribute media.
Key Responsibilities
- Visual Storytelling: Capture high-quality photographs and videos of participants engaged in wilderness activities.
- Digital Content Development: Create engaging social media content for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
- Media Organization: Maintain and organize media archives.
- Base Camp Support: Assist with base camp operations as needed, including administrative tasks.
Requirements
- Age 18 or older.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- Available for the summer from late May to August.
- Prior experience with photography and videography.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in remote locations.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Wilderness First Aid and CPR certifications are preferred.
