General Description:
This position takes care of the watering and maintenance requirements in the Horticulture Program's greenhouse and gardens on weekends, holidays, or when the Horticulturalist is unavailable.
Duties and Tasks:
This position takes care of the watering and maintenance requirements in the Horticulture Program's greenhouse and gardens on weekends, holidays, or when the Horticulturalist is unavailable.
Duties and Tasks:
- Attends to watering needs of the greenhouse and gardens maintained by the Horticulture Program.
- Weeds, mulches, and performs related tasks when necessary.
- Employee will also be responsible for additional weeding and maintenance duties in the Horticulture Program teaching gardens and other related tasks as needed.
KSAs:
- Employee must have a basic understanding of plant care and plant identification.
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and hold 30 lbs.
- Good communication skills and the ability to communicate questions or concerns to Horticulturalist
Required Qualification
- Experience in plant care and maintenance.
- Previous experience of greenhouse operating systems.
