Assist in the overall operation of the campus Testing Center. Instruct students and faculty in the use of various tests used in the center. Proctor in-person and remote testing, computerized/paper testing/
Duties and Tasks:
Assist in the overall operation of the campus Testing Center. Instruct students and faculty in the use of various tests used in the center. Proctor in-person and remote testing, computerized/paper testing/
Duties and Tasks:
- Cooperatively with other Instructors, assist in the overall operation of the campus Testing Center. Instruct students and faculty in the use of various tests used in the center.
- Proctor in-person and remote testing (computerized/paper testing, English Proficiency Tests, TEAS, SDV ABEL, World language test, and other tests brought in by faculty members).
- Assure that all testing services are provided in accordance with regulations, standards, and guidance from college administrators.
- Determine workflow and priorities in compliance with established procedures.
- Consistently work during peak times/evenings in the week shifts.
- Assist as needed with other Academic Success Centers.
- Administer various tests at Testing Center
- Fully use departmental monitoring software to observe and oversee testing sessions while in progress.
- Monitor testers by doing several walk-through within the testing lab area.
Required KSAs:
- Knowledge of placement testing platform and student records database software .
- Knowledge and comfort with AV and computer equipment used in individualized instruction and distance learning.
- Basic trouble-shooting skills.
- Ability to instruct students and counsel them regarding their test scores.
- Ability and diplomacy skills to consult with faculty regarding educational and security issues associated with testing.
- Record keeping and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to recognize and understand overall test integrity.
- Ability to work during peak times/evenings in the week and Saturday shifts.
- Ability to work with disabled students and working knowledge of adaptive equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Test proctoring experience
- Computer/technology experience.
- Customer service experience.
Additional Considerations:
- Experience and knowledge of student information system applications.
