Key Responsibilities:
- Coaching & Training:
- Plan and lead cheerleading practices that cater to a wide range of age groups (Pre-K to Middle School).
- Teach fundamental cheerleading skills, including stunts, cheers, chants, tumbling, and dance.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during practices and performances.
- Develop and choreograph routines for end of session performance.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that encourages teamwork, respect, and personal growth.
- Motivate and inspire athletes to build confidence, leadership, and discipline.
- Promote good sportsmanship and create a supportive, positive atmosphere for participants.
- Maintain open communication with athletes, parents, and NVSA staff.
Qualifications:
- Previous coaching experience, preferably in cheerleading, gymnastics, or a similar sport, with a focus on younger athletes.
- Knowledge of cheerleading techniques, stunts, tumbling, and choreography.
- Ability to work with children of various ages and skill levels.
- Strong communication skills and ability to motivate and engage young athletes.
- Certification in First Aid/CPR (preferred but not required).

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 10 per week
