Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an exciting summer filled with adventure and learning. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and educational environment for children. You will be responsible for leading activities, supervising campers, and fostering their personal growth while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Duties
- Supervise and engage with campers during various activities, ensuring a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
- Plan, organize, and lead recreational activities such as arts and crafts, sports, games, and educational programs.
- Provide guidance and support to campers in developing social skills, teamwork, and self-confidence.
- Monitor camper behavior and enforce camp rules to maintain a safe environment.
- Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and other staff members regarding camper progress and any concerns.
- Assist in the implementation of first aid procedures when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of camp facilities and equipment.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in settings such as teaching, daycare, tutoring, coaching or childcare is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles is a plus.
- Skills in classroom management or early childhood education are beneficial.
- First aid certification is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to educate and engage children effectively.
- A positive attitude, patience, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Previous experience in babysitting or similar roles is advantageous.
