Title : Front Desk Medical Receptionist
Location : Fairfax Office (occasionally in Falls Church or Alexandria offices as needed)
Report to : Office Manager
Schedule : Monday-Friday, during the following hours (determined by office needs) : 7 : 30am - 4pm; 8am - 4 : 30pm; 8 : 30am - 5pm; 9 : 30am - 6pm
FLSA Status : non-exempt / hourly
Position Overview
We are a BUSY, patient-centered, 18-doctor private ophthalmology practice with three offices : one in Fairfax, one in Falls Church, and one in Alexandria. We are looking for a dedicated and friendly administrative professional to be the welcoming face of our practice and provide our patients with exceptional service. This position will collaborate with the Office Manager and work with the rest of the team to create an inviting atmosphere for all patients, ensure every patient feels welcomed, valued, and attended to during their visit, and uphold compliance with NVOA's policies and our practice's high standards of care.
Position Requirements
The ideal candidates will have
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist
- Familiarity with medical insurance and referrals
- Strong communication skills, along with being courteous, reliable, and a quick learner
- Thrive in a busy environment that requires multitasking, organization, and teamwork.
