NV3C seeks a dynamic and experienced Program Coordinator to establish connections with all relevant contributors and ensure the development of a skilled workforce for the Northern Virginia region.
Position Summary:
The NV3C Program Coordinator will oversee the coalition’s operations and strategic initiatives, working collaboratively with construction companies, educational partners, and workforce organizations to achieve the mission and vision of NV3C. This role involves program management, stakeholder engagement, and funding development to expand opportunities within the construction trades.
Key Responsibilities:
Organizational Leadership and Strategy:
- Collaborate with the NV3C Board of Directors to implement policies, bylaws, procedures, and strategic plans.
- Meet established benchmarks for success.
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:
- Build positive relationships with construction companies, consultants, suppliers, workforce organizations, and educational institutions.
- Partner with K-12 and Virginia Community College representatives to optimize CTE programs focused on business and construction trades.
- Engage non-traditional education programs to widen workforce pathways.
Program Development and Marketing:
- Develop cohesive pipelines for channeling workers into sustainable construction careers.
- Implement marketing, social media, and outreach strategies to promote NV3C programs.
- Coordinate mentorship and hands-on training opportunities with coalition members.
- Identify opportunities for growth of coalition membership
Compliance and Evaluation:
- Ensure adherence to applicable regulations and policies.
- Regularly assess program effectiveness and report outcomes to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, organizational development, construction management, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of program coordination experience in associations, education, or the construction industry.
- Proven skills in community engagement, consensus building, and negotiation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and execute strategic goals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Virginia’s construction industry and workforce systems.
- Strong connections with regional educational institutions and workforce agencies.
Performance Standards:
- Benchmark NV3C’s existing efforts and workforce pipeline.
- Establish measurable outcomes for educational and employment programs within two years.
- Facilitate mentorship and training opportunities across 80% of coalition member organizations.
