What Were Looking For
As Northern's Tealium iQ Developer, you will play a pivotal role in implementing, configuring, and optimizing the Tealium iQ Tag Management System (TMS) for our clients. Your expertise will ensure seamless data collection, activation, and integration with analytics, marketing, and customer experience platforms.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Configure and deploy Tealium iQ TMS for client websites and applications.
- Implement and maintain tags, extensions, and variables to capture accurate and actionable data.
- Collaborate with developers to design, build, and optimize data layers to support business needs.
- Ensure data layer standards and documentation are followed consistently.
- Integrate Tealium iQ with third-party platforms, including analytics, CRM, and marketing tools.
- Develop custom JavaScript extensions to meet unique client requirements.
- Debug and resolve tag firing, data discrepancies, and other TMS-related issues.
- Perform thorough QA to ensure accurate data collection and platform integrations.
- Partner with clients to understand their business goals and translate them into effective tagging strategies.
- Provide guidance on best practices for data governance and tag management.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and Tealium product developments.
- Recommend and implement optimizations to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Create detailed implementation guides, technical documentation, and tracking plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, IT, and analytics, to define and deliver tracking solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Regularly audit and optimize analytics implementations for performance and scalability.
- Stay updated on Tealium iQ updates and best practices to improve implementations continuously.
Knowledge, Education & Experience Required
- 2 years of hands-on experience with Tealium iQ TMS, including tag implementation and troubleshooting.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience working with APIs, SDKs, and integrations with third-party platforms.
- Familiarity with data layer design and implementation.
- Working experience with analytics platforms like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar tools.
- Understanding of marketing and advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Pixel).
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement scalable solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a client-first mindset.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects effectively.
Bonus
- Tealium certification (e.g., Tealium iQ Tag Management Specialist).
- Experience with Tealium AudienceStream or EventStream.
- Knowledge of other tag management systems (e.g., Google Tag Manager, Adobe Launch).
- Understanding of GDPR, CCPA, and other data privacy regulations.
