Job Summary
The Medical Assistant (MA) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position participates in the delivery of patient care within the guidelines and policies of Northfield Hospital Clinics. Carries out patient care tasks as directed by providers and nurses, maintains supplies and equipment, and accurately communicates with patients and all members of the healthcare team. This position provides age-specific and developmentally appropriate care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Compensation
We are committed to providing wage ranges for all open positions. Please note that the specific compensation for this role will be determined based on experience, education and internal equity considerations. The hourly wage range for this position is: Medical Assistant $20.87-$29.46; LPN $22.57-$31.86. This range reflects the base salary for this position.
Key Accountabilities

Prepares exam and treatment rooms prior to patient visit.

Rooms patient and prepares patient for exams, tests and procedures. Obtains and accurately records necessary vital signs and physical measurements.

Prepares, administers and records medications per policy and established procedures.

Monitors provider orders to ensure orders are completed.

Communicates pertinent information to providers and healthcare team.
Qualifications

Must be over 18 years of age

Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers Certification (or obtained within six months of hire, company paid)

Medical Assistant: CMA or RMA preferred. Non-Certified/Non-Registered applicants must have graduated from an accredited school with a clinical externship and provide proof of school completion

LPN: LPN licensure with the State of Minnesota

One year of clinical practice experience preferred

Electronic medical record experience preferred
Work Schedule and Hours
Hours:

64 hours per two-week pay period
Schedule:
-
Monday: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM
-
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM
Weekends: No weekend shifts required
Holidays: Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve (clinic open until 3:00 PM)
