Position Summary
The Culinary Services Aide II position prepares food, ensures patient orders are complete and ready for delivery, washes and puts away kitchen equipment, pots and pans, and ensures proper storage and rotation of food.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepares tray per patient order.
- Prepares food in a timely manner to ensure meals are served at specified times.
- Prepares food textures that patients and residents can safely chew and swallow.
- Ensures proper storage and rotation of food in the department refrigerator and freezers.
- Utilizes kitchen equipment such as food slicer, steamers, and ovens.
- Washes and sanitizes pots and pans and food preparation equipment.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to read, write and speak English; follow verbal and written directions, complete simple calculations.
- Experience in customer service preferred
- Works well in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in hospital food service and preparing large quantities of food is preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
Schedule:
- 68hrs/2wks
- Week One: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday
- Week Two: Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
- Every other weekend and rotating holidays
