Position Summary
The Financial Analyst role will drive strategic financial analysis and support decision-making by developing and maintaining financial models, analyzing data, and creating/preparing reports utilizing a variety of technology applications. This role is involved in the budgeting and forecasting processes and conducting in-depth analysis to assess the hospital’s profitability. The Financial Analyst should have a high degree of initiative, the ability to work independently, and have the capability to collaborate across hospital functions.
Job Setting:
On-site, opportunity for some hybrid work arrangement after training period.
Key Accountabilities:
- Create and prepare financial models and associated summaries to guide organizational decision-making
- Analyze financial and statistical data to provide insights into trends, as well as recommendations for improved performance
- Evaluate cost structures and pricing strategies to enhance profitability
- Assist in annual budget and periodic forecasting of financial/statistical data
- Support long-term planning with detailed projections and scenario analysis
- Utilize technology (primarily PowerBI) to create and update dashboards that engage Directors across the organization and inform
- Other ad-hoc projects as necessary
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 2 years of accounting, finance, or analytics experience
- Proficiency in PowerBI and/or other business intelligence software
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills
- Works independently with minimal supervision; curious mindset
- Experience with process improvement
- Demonstrated human relations, time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to work with ambiguity
Schedule:
- 80hrs/2wks
- 8:00am-5:00pm
