Position Summary :
The Medical Assistant / LPN position participates in the delivery of patient care within the guidelines and policies of Northfield Hospital Clinics. Carries out patient care tasks as directed by providers and nurses, maintains supplies and equipment, and accurately communicates with patients and all members of the healthcare team. This position provides age-specific and developmentally appropriate care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepares exam and treatment rooms prior to patient visit.
- Rooms patient and prepares patient for exams, tests and procedures. Obtains and accurately records necessary vital signs and physical measurements.
- Prepares, administers and records medications per policy and established procedures.
- Monitors provider orders to ensure orders are completed.
- Communicates pertinent information to providers and healthcare team.
