Position Summary
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) provides quality patient care in the out-of-hospital setting, including assessment of illness and/or injury, administering emergency care, and transportation services. Responds within the scope of training under operational guidelines and physician medical control.
Qualifications:
Paramedic:
- Current registration as a Paramedic with the National Registry of EMT’s
- Current certification as a Paramedic with the MN EMSRB
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification as an instructor or provider (or obtained within 90 days of start date), company paid
- Current American Heart Association ACLS certification as an instructor or provider (or obtained within 90 days of start date), company paid
- Current state-issued driver’s license (with acceptable driving history)
EMS providers are required to pass a post-offer physical screen which includes the essential functions that an employee must be able to perform, with or without a reasonable accommodation, in order to be qualified for the job.
Schedule:
- 48hrs/2wks
- Every other weekend
- Holidays as scheduled
