Responds promptly to requests for service.

Assesses the needs of the sick or injured patient.

Provides medical care within the paramedic scope of practice per the most current version of the Patient Care Guidelines.

Works as an integral member of the prehospital care team, which includes dispatchers, bystanders, first responders, other EMS providers, and patient family members.

Appropriately communicates patient information to receiving facilities and other members of the care team.

Operates the ambulance per state statutes and organizational policies.
-
Provides for safe transportation for patients, partners, and passengers.
-
Understands, demonstrates, and drives with due regard.
-
Follows best practice guidelines for highway incident traffic management.

Completes patient care reports, required documentation changes, and/or addendums in a timely manner.

Ensures reports contain the proper content and attachments, are accurate, and relatively free from errors.

Appropriately completes mandatory reports as required by law and/or policy.

Demonstrates stewardship for department equipment and inventory.
-
Keeps vehicles, equipment, and station clean and in good repair.

Replaces items used during patient encounters.

Completes daily and monthly vehicle inventory and cleaning as directed.

Maintains other educational and operational inventory as directed.

Promptly and accurately completes operational reports and summaries.

Supports and provides quality public relations events and interactions.

Responds to requests and work assignments in a timely manner.

Actively seeks out and completes tasks, assignments, and projects that enhance the value of the department and organization.

Current registration as a Paramedic with the National Registry of EMT’s

Current certification as a Paramedic with the MN EMSRB

Current American Heart Association BLS certification as an instructor or provider (or obtained within 90 days of start date, company paid)

Current American Heart Association ACLS certification as an instructor or provider (or obtained within 90 days of start date, company paid)

Current state-issued driver’s license (with acceptable driving history)
