Job Summary
The Revenue Cycle Analyst will support revenue cycle initiatives for compliance and revenue optimization for the organization. This position will bridge gaps and bring transparency to clinical, front-end, mid-cycle and back-end workflows to enable the organization to make timely, strategic and tactical decisions. Performs detailed, quantitative analysis work to support increased revenues, decreased costs, accelerated cash flow, improved clinical outcomes and operational flow efficiencies.
Compensation
We are committed to providing wage ranges for all open positions. Please note that the specific compensation for this role will be determined based on experience, education and internal equity considerations. The wage range for this position is $59,404.80-$83,865.60 annually. This range reflects the base salary for this position.
Key Accountabilities

Works collaboratively with Senior Revenue Cycle Analyst along with other clinical and finance departments. Due to its service focus and project management emphasis, this position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, in conjunction with strong analytic and organizational skills.

Responsible for researching and aiding in processes to achieve optimized legitimate reimbursement for our organization. Works with multi-disciplinary team to assess and improve denial management with reports and feedback to help educate and implement necessary changes.

Collects appropriate data and applies proper audit procedures to test the patient charge systems/procedures. Prepares reports documenting audit findings, conclusions, and recommendations.

Apply innovative thinking and business knowledge to review back-end processes, from intake to collection, in order to maximize collections through the accurate and complete capture of all charges for efficiency and profitability.

Continuously learn and apply improvement methodologies, and to spread successful innovation throughout the institution.

Maintains strong working relationships with departments to educate and support revenue department managers and directors as to their roles and responsibilities as they relate to revenue capture.

Reviews and distributes regulatory coding and billing information from CMS and/or third-party payors to the appropriate departments. Ensures that NH&C maintain compliance with regulations and captures accurate reimbursement for services provided.

Apply data analytic principles to build queries and extract data for analysis and interpretation. Analyze complex data set and use relational databases to build queries and for ad-hoc reports from EHR.

Assists in maintaining the integrity of the charge description master for the hospital, clinic and long-term care through annual updates, periodic audits, and ongoing review. Align chargemaster pricing with payor reimbursement and competitive market pricing.

Assist and work with Senior Revenue Cycle Analyst to develop key financial analysis of service lines utilizing contract reimbursement and billing requirement knowledge to produce ROI’s, forecast modeling, P&L statements, financial proformas, break even analysis and dashboards for senior leadership.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance.

Minimum 2-3 year’s strong financial and data analysis experience with experience extracting data from relational databases.

High level of analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Expert level skills in Excel and Access.

Ability to write reports, presentations and business correspondence that are readily understood and conform to accepted standards of professional business communications style and format

2-3 years' experience in healthcare financial operations preferred

Working knowledge and application of Relative Value Units, CPT, ICD-10, documentation, coding rules, UB04 and 1500 claims forms preferred
Work Schedule and Hours

80 hours per two-week pay period

Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, with flexibility
