We are looking for an experienced working supervisor with a minimum of 1-2 years past successful job service managing the scheduling, training and oversite of the Housekeeping and Laundry staff. Our Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor is retiring after several years of service and willing to train the right new candidate.
Concord Village is a beautiful newer skilled nursing & rehabilitation facility that opened only 8 years ago. We are located about 15 min northeast of Cleveland, Ohio in Lake County behind Tripoint Hospital off Auburn Road.

Job description
The Housekeeping Manager should be committed to learning and complying with OSHA standards of nursing homes. Candidates should be able and willing to help in any area of the housekeeping or laundry department as needed. Applicants should feel comfortable with management and be able to hire, terminate or remediate staff. You may be asked to help in other areas of the building as needed for the optimal performance of your building/department and the well-being of our residents.
Essential job functions
- Purchase housekeeping and laundry supplies.
- Supervise receiving and storage of linens and supplies.
- Represent the Housekeeping/Laundry Departments.
- Prepare documentation and cleaning schedules.
- Assume responsibility for high sanitation standards.
- Ensure proper maintenance and repair of equipment.
- Assure proper care and use of housekeeping/laundry equipment.
- Report any observed area in poor repair to the Administrator and to the maintenance department.
- Assist with the implementation of OSHA regulations as they pertain to housekeeping/laundry departments.
- Keep MSDS book updated with all new chemicals of housekeeping and laundry departments.
- Performs daily rounds to ensure a healthy, clean safe environment is maintained at all times.
- Ensures all hallways and entrances are uncongested at all times and assist with floor care.
- Responsible for ensuring proper safety measures are used when housekeeping/laundry duties are being performed (e.g. wet floor signs, chemicals are secure and labeled, etc.)
- Supervise proper labeling and handling of all resident’s clothing.
