The Bartending Staff (age 21 ) is responsible for greeting customers, learning about their preferences, answering questions, recommending menu items, and preparing and serving beverages and food. This is a SEASONAL, full-time or part-time position and reports to the Food Service Manager.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accurately complete cash, credit card and gift card transactions using point of sale system
- Upsell to guests by suggesting menu items to accompany beverage selections
- Prepare beverages consistent with quality and food safety standards
- Maintain sanitation of the preparation and service areas
- Stock condiments, napkins, straws, etc. for guest use
- Clean tables and chairs, sweep/mop floors and empty trash in the bar/dining area
- Check customer’s identification to ensure they are of legal drinking age
- Mix all drinks based on the standard serving sizes, keeping drink costs at a minimum
- Participate in other projects and activities as assigned
- Assist with monthly inventory and ordering
- Collaborate with management on specials
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE
- 1 year experience bartending
- TIPS training required
- State required certification

- Basic computer skills

- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Required to work nights, weekends, and holidays

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, occasionally in warm temperatures
- Continuously climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl
- Able to manipulate fingers, hands, and arms to reach, carry, serve, etc.
