Position Summary: Coordinates quality and performance improvement activities, including process improvements and outcomes of patient care. Leads in the collection of chart audits and other types of data that reflect process and outcomes of patient care, analyzes results, and initiates corrective action for deficiencies. Manages the analysis of statistical data. Maintains compliance for all federal, state, and regulatory requirements. Assists in the review, investigation and reporting of Incident Reports and related Risk Management activities.

- Basic teaching and training skills helpful
- Problem-solving; organizational and time-management
- Crisis intervention skills; written and oral communication skills; skills in facilitating and/or co-facilitating process oriented and didactic groups
- Eligible for CPR and CPI/NCI certification
- Skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of clinical and support team members

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited school or college of nursing. BSN or BS preferred. Certification in CPHQ or equivalent also preferred.
Experience: Minimum of (3) years of clinical experience; psychiatric preferred. Experience in healthcare Quality/ Performance Improvement, Joint Commission accreditation and regulatory compliance preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Currently licensed as a Registered nurse in the state of Louisiana. Able to obtain CPR and CPI/NCI Certification.
HIPAA: Has access to all PHIS necessary to perform job functions and assuring compliance with standards of care.
Work Demands/Environment:
Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. In addition to lifting of patients, occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions and/or working irregular hours. Potential exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, body fluids and other conditions common to a hospital environment.
