What are the responsibilities and job description for the Therapist IOP position at Northlake Behavioral Health System?
Northlake Behavioral Health System-CCBHC is a premiere not-for-profit behavioral health hospital and clinic system dedicated to serving our community. Uniquely situated on 40 acres of wooded land, we offer acute specialized inpatient services for all ages, to a broad range of outpatient services, including our Intensive Outpatient Treatment program serving adults with substance use disorders.
We are seeking passionate counselors and clinicians (LPC.PLPC. LMSW, LCSW, LAC) committed to making a real difference. While you don’t need to leap tall buildings in a single bound, if you work hard, play nice, and strive to grow professionally we could be your ideal match.
While there is no typical day in the office, you can expect to:
- Provide group therapy, individual therapy, perform biopsychosocial assessments and other specialized assessments for the client population
- Operate within an electronic health record inputting progress notes, treatment plans, monthly provider progress reports, and transition and discharge plans
- Maintain a caseload of 12 primary clients with 24 clients max, including intensive outpatient and outpatient levels of care
- Serve as the lead clinician on the assigned caseload and manage the case presenting in treatment team staffing and collaborating in real-time with the MAT Medical team
- Present ongoing clinical client data and updates to utilization review staff to ensure treatment necessity for insurance companies
- Serve as a utilization review backup as well as intake department when needed
- Provide telehealth services to clients as needed due to COVID and other unforeseen conditions. This will require you to be tech-savvy, flexible, adaptable, and creative
- And, of course, other duties as may be needed or assigned
Develop treatment plans and goals:
- Establish measurable appropriate goals, utilizing knowledge of the treatment programs level of care and services offered, client diagnosis, and individualized treatment planning
- Adjust treatment plans as needed to reflect clients’ progress
Complete all necessary documentation:
- Complete evaluations and progress reports within the specified timeframe, including long- and short-term goals
- Complete all objective documentation per industry standards, licensing regulations, and accreditation best practices
- Respect confidentiality of client records and treatment - HIPPA
QUALIFICATIONS:
- LPC, PLPC, LMSW, or LCSW
- Must be able to complete telehealth appointments and/or meetings if needed
- Experience working with behavioral health populations specifically clients with substance use disorders and trauma preferred
