Receptionist and Optometric Technician

About the Role
As a receptionist and optometric technician, you’ll be a key player in delivering exceptional patient experiences. Our ideal candidate excels in customer service, clerical work, and technical tasks while fostering a welcoming and professional environment. This position requires a flexible schedule, including weekends.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Provide first-class care during every patient interaction.
Front Desk Management:
- Answer phone calls and manage office voicemail.
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments.
- Respond to messages via Doctible and office email.
- Navigate insurance systems to verify patient eligibility and process claims.
Optometric Equipment Operation:
- Use equipment such as automated visual acuity charts, Clarifye, iCare tonometers, automated lensometers, visual fields, OCT, and Optomap digital imaging.
- Maintain and clean exam rooms and equipment.
Administrative Duties:
- Adhere to company policies, including HIPAA, and assist with general office tasks as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
- Positive, friendly attitude with a commitment to patient care.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Flexibility and initiative in completing tasks and contributing to practice goals.
- Reliable transportation and punctuality.
- Availability for weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
- Willingness to learn and grow in optometric knowledge.
