What are the responsibilities and job description for the Secondary Principal position at Northland Christian Education System?
The Secondary Principal is a competent leader who shepherds the staff placed in his/her care. In considering the district and NCS community, special attention is given to each staff member’s role, gifts, and needs.
Responsibilities
- Supervises, observes, and evaluates Secondary staff districtwide
- Assists Curriculum and Accreditation Lead to ensure that objectives and standards are being met
- Maintains confidentiality
- Manages the discipleship of students through discipline-related matters
- Promotes the uniqueness of NCS and represents the school in a favorable and professional manner to all
- Assists with all NCS accreditation efforts
- Interviews incoming families and staff for admittance and hire
- Sets goals in alignment with the district imperatives and aids staff in achieving those goals
- Reviews, revises, and carries out policies and procedures on an annual basis
- Assesses teaching methods of staff
- Monitors student achievement
- Monitors budget as it relates to secondary matters and assists the superintendent in tracking towards goals
- Attends and supervises secondary activities as a part of the admin rotation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree; Masters Degree preferred; MO State or ACSI Certification
